"We loved the Lake Kumarakom Resort (in the backwaters). Specially the outdoor bathroom! The resort and grounds were very well kept and the pool was great....loved the way it looked out over the lake. The houseboat was a great way to get closer to the culture and vegetation. Haiphong was great too and the boat trip was super. We had very good guides everywhere, food was not a problem even for our daughter who is mainly vegetarian, and accommodation was luxurious. Angkor Wat was, of course, the most impressive and inspiring. We thoroughly enjoyed the time we spent there. It was very hot and it was great to have our own transport and cold water at will! I guess any amount of time spent at Siem Reap is not enough and we could have visited the temples over a week at a leisurely pace, but we did manage to pack in a lot in 3 days. "I would like to make a mention about the support that I have received from The Wanderers. I have known them now for the past 8 years, my first trip with them being to Sikkim and Bhutan. But, now I swear by them and consult them for any of my smallest travel needs. This was the first time I was going abroad (New Zealand) with my wife for such a long time (I was just 24). The thought of it just sends shivers down one's spine - who will receive us at the airport, if I have to drive by myself, how will I find the way, what if my car breaks down on the way, where will I find vegetarian food to eat, in such a limited time how will I shortlist the activities that would be the best to do - all such questions kept running in both our minds. But as time for departure came closer, Wanderers kept giving me so much "gyan" every single day that before I reached there, I almost had a rough picture of the entire trip in my mind.
The Wanderers provided every minute detail including a hour-to-hour itinerary, travel distances and time including directions, driving precautions, things to do after landing at Auckland Airport, contact details of all accomodations, all vegetarian and Indian restaurants, information sites and attractions. All this was compiled into a single file which was the only thing I needed to refer to. The bookings made were so solid that I never had to even re-confirm with any of them..just had to walk-in. I did not even have to make one single call from there to the Wanderers as whatever information was required to me in the entire trip was in that single file. It is an absolute Hats-Off to the Wanderers for these kinds of service levels.
Lastly, I will never forget this trip in my entire life. A picture of the beautiful ambience in New Zealand still haunts me and my wife (The Wanderers had warned us about that too!). My only message to you all about the Wanderers is "Experience it to believe it!"

 We had an absolutely fabulous time in Egypt. The trip was exceptionally organized. The guides and drivers assigned to us took personal care especially the two who accompanied us on the desert safari. Our apprehensions prior to the trip based on negative feedback from the internet on the quality of the average Nile cruises we found were completely unfounded. The ship and its service were above expectations. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Apart from Egypt’s very palpable and living history we found its beautiful desert landscapes, its people and its food irresistible. We shall surely be returning to Egypt very soon.

I went to Bhutan with a very simple agenda – to breathe clean air in unspoilt surroundings, to get there before Mc Donald’s did, to go alone and to see as few human beings as possible. I have to say the Wanderers met my brief with admirable fortitude. I loved Bumthang, which The Wanderers actually insisted I do and recommend everyone goes there if you are looking for an unspoilt vibe (unspoilt even by Bhutan standards), a temperature of five degrees and great views. Bhutan is safe, which is important for single women to know, and people are universally pleasant and helpful.

I was thoroughly impressed from the first time I met them till we ended our tour. When The Wanderers spoke to me about Italy and Switzerland, they painted the two countries in front of me. They were innovative in trying to make our holiday a special and memorable one.  Once decided, I started looking for companies, which organize treks for small groups. I thought that since I am alone, I may as well join a group. After a lot of unsuccessful attempts (I sent an enquiry to more than 10 companies, whose links I got off the Internet, but didn’t get a response from a single one), I got a reference of Wanderers from a friend who had travelled with them earlier.
